LAPLAND
I have been living here in Finnish Lapland now for over decade and I am still amazed about it ́s raw beauty and purity.
It is a place where you can still see endless and untouched wilderness with wildlife running free in their natural inhabitant. In Finnish Lapland we have four very different seasons and you can see the seasonal change very clearly. During winter, polar night casts it ́s shadow over the Arctic area, painting the sky with violet, orange and reddish colours. Everything is covered with white and pure snow. During spring, the sun rises again, nature wakes up from its hibernation and depth of the snow cover can be even one meter or higher. This is the perfect time for winter activities, like ice fishing on a frozen lake. At summer time, we Laplanders enjoy the phenomena called the night less night. We have daylight for 24 hours almost two months. When the autumn arrives, closing the yearly circle we enjoy the fall colours, all the flora is painted with yellow, orange and reddish colours and nature is starting to prepare itself for the cold winter. During all these seasons, the air that we breathe is without pollution, water is good to drink from almost every lake and river. When taking a good look to the horizon, you can see this beauty, where Lappish mountains, which are better known as fells, are rising from the endless scenery of wilderness areas. It is a sight, that one never forgets. North Events respects these values of pure nature and serves it ́s customers on the same basis.
